Fisherfolk Fiesta was designed for the Summer of Socks 2025 by Wol met Verve and is a true knitting celebration! The socks are worked in a texture that resembles brioche but is actually a fisherman’s rib – and much easier to knit! The result is airy, stretchy, and wonderfully soft. Perfect for summer knitting moments, whether you’re on the go, relaxing in the garden, or sitting by the water. The striped pattern comes to life beautifully in contrasting colors, and with an extra accent at the cuff, heel, or toe, you can add a cheerful twist. Rhythmic, colorful, and delightfully simple – let the fiesta begin!

Materials

Wol met Verve Merino Twist Sock, 100g/365m, or a similar sock yarn. For the smallest size, I used approximately 30 grams of each main color (Bright Aqua Light and Neon Coral Light) and 6 grams of each contrast color (Bright Yellow and Neon Coral). The exact amount will of course depend on the size you’re making and the length of the cuff you choose.

• (Circular) needles size 2.5mm, or the size needed to obtain the correct gauge.
